MIC CHECK w/ Jack Butcher

On Friday, we hosted Jack Butcher, the founder of VV Checks, on GM WEB3 and launched a free claim for 24 hours called MIC CHECK in his honor. The NFT was designed by our incredible graphic designer, Jenn, who replicated his style using the Rug Radio logo.

If you're interested in picking one up for yourself, they're available on secondary starting at .0042 ETH, at the time of writing.

Listen to earn on GM WEB3

After some technical issues on Wednesday, and a prior test run during our January 13 Town Hall, we successfully launched Listen-to-Earn during GM WEB3 on Thursday. Anyone who was listening live was able to enter a code on the Rewards platform and earn 4 $RUG tokens during the last 30 minutes of the show.

This successful test run means that we can now expand the program to our creators and reward holders in $RUG just for listening!

The Rewards program, architected by Jessica, our Head of Creators & Rewards, has also more than doubled to 943 members in the past 2 weeks with the top earner already earning 1,400 $RUG (that would get you 2 pfps).

Creator Spotlight: Nikita Cikaluk

Dookey Dash is a hit

After a 14 hour delay, the free claim for the Sewer Pass, which acts as the access pass to the game, opened for BAYC and MAYC holders generating more than 15,500 ETH in volume on OpenSea in just the first 3 days with a floor price of 1.85 ETH, at the time of writing.

According to @angelclarksays on Twitter, 52,860 Apecoin ($250,000+ USD) has already been spent on boosts, called Powershart Packs, as of Saturday night. These packs cut the cooldown time in half, add a 15% bonus to the final score, and increase the chances of rare/higher value items appearing.

What's even more impressive than secondary volumes is how popular the game is among everyone from holders to kids. If you remember other endless runner style games like Temple Run or Subway Surfers where you can collect coins and items during the game as well as show off your high score to your friends, Dookey Dash follows that exact same style.

The game is open until February 8, so we'll likely continue to see people sharing their scores and experiences on the timeline, in addition to volume on the Powershart Packs and Sewer Passes.

MoonPay is acquiring Nightshift and rebranding it to OtherLife which allows the company to establish end-to-end Web3 solutions (NightShift designed Rug Radio's brand assets and website).

Doodles hired Austin Hurwitz as the new Head of Business Development, who also happens to be a Rug Radio creator.

Blur announced that their long awaited airdrop of the $BLUR token will be launching on February 14.

Rarible launched a free, no code solution for projects and creators to set up their own custom NFT marketplace.

Lowes is using RFID and blockchain technology to fight retail theft, recording each transaction on the blockchain.
