gm fam! It was quite an interesting week with a mixture of an elaborate, surprise rug pull and stories that show there are still people and companies building despite market conditions. From our tech that Gman is building to our creators to the meetings Farokh and Loxley are having in Europe right now, just know that we’re building for the next 10+ years.

We’re also back with our latest episode of Under The Hood where we recap VeeCon, and I’ll just say this was the most fun I’ve ever had at a conference!

Here's what we've got in this week's recap...

  • Rug Radio Updates

  • Fewocious announced the details for Fewos

  • Doodles partners with CAMP

  • Hong Kong opens crypto exchange licensing

  • Nike 🤝 EA Sports

UNDER THE HOOD, VEECON 2023

VeeCon was without a doubt one of the best conferences we’ve been a part of, and we’re recapping it all in our latest edition of “Under the Hood.”

Behind the Scenes with TG

One of our newest creators, Threadguy, is known as one the most high energy, entertaining creators in the space. During VeeCon, we also went behind the scenes with him to show just what it takes to host one of the most highly anticipated conversations.

Market Summary

Graphic showing the crypto prices and changes with Bitcoin at $27,183, Ethereum at $1,901, Solana at $21.15, and Matic at $0.90

Context

  • NFTs saw a slight uptick in volume, primarily led by Bored Ape Yacht Club and Mutant Ape Yacht Club after being added to Blur’s BLEND product on May 15th.

  • Crypto had another volatile week, but ended the week with modest gains as a result of the US debt ceiling deal being reached, as well as employment reports showing higher unemployment and slowing wage growth.

  • In the week ahead, there isn’t too much major economic data so we might enter a lull period before we get both CPI and the outcome of the FOMC meeting next week.
