Consensus Recap

Rug Radio Vibes in Austin

  • Our event was the highlight of our week and the best event we’ve hosted so far with many people saying it was the best event they went to all week.

  • From the very beginning, notable people like Snowfro, Bryan Brinkman, Jack Butcher, Dave Krugman, JN Silva, Cory Van Lew, and community members like Daito all made an appearance and showed their support.

  • We wanted to give a huge shoutout to Chana and Jen Fassino for organizing such an amazing event.

 

At Consensus

  • Farokh spoke about the Power of Community with Nick Adler and Carly Reilly on Stage X, one of the main stages

  • Mando and OSF also got their own stages where they spoke about crypto culture and the marketplace arms race, respectively.

  • Farokh, OSF, and Mando hosted GM Web3 on the Consensus stage which was broadcasted live on our Youtube.

We’ll have the next episode of “Under The Hood” recapping Consensus within the next 7 - 10 days…Y’all are really gonna enjoy this one!

If was fantastic to see the brands who really focus on the creator economy and culture.

When people look at who the leaders are, they’re seeing Rug Radio front and center, and that type of enduring brand is all the more important.

LMS & Creator Portal Sneak Peak

Learning Management System (LMS)

  • The LMS will follow a Learn-to-Earn model where current and future creators can create dynamic educational and entertainment content.

  • This opens more opportunities for creators to partner with brands who can give value back to the consumers of that content.

  • Consumers would be able to explore a curated course catalog across a variety of topics that would allow for them to grow their skills and pursue

  • If you own a Rug Radio Membership Pass, you will be able to take classes, exams, etc and yield $RUG token.

Creator Portal

  • The purpose of the portal is to help scale our network of creators with tools that allow for gathering data, distributing content, communication, and so much more.

  • We’ll be launching the creator portal with AI tools such as automatic transcripts from spaces that allow for the creation of threads and blog posts, as well as Dall-E image creation and ChatGPT integration. For V2, the goal is to launch tools for audiogram creation and YouTube integrations.

  • Goal: Launch V1 of the portal to all creators within the next 2 weeks

We work iteratively…We like to fail fast and pivot, and then reimplement and redesign something that is more effective. If it’s waste of time and energy, we’ll cut it and move on to something else.

We’re truly working to minimize the friction for our creators.

Community Q&A

Which LMS are we using? Our LMS is proprietary and custom built by Gman and Loxley.

Would the LMS have an accelerator program? Sort of…For example, a company or brand could token gate content to employees holding a specific token.

What do course creators get? In the same way we do live audio sponsorships, brands could sponsor creators and the revenue would be split between the creator (85%) and DAO (15%), in addition to $RUG token.

Wen Merch? We’ve had our merch for IRL events which are print-on-demand that we’re giving away for free. Merch hasn’t yet been a top priority, but we’re working on creating higher quality merch that will be for sale in the future.
